Seller Terms & Conditions
For the money side of selling — commission, payouts, and holds — see the Commission & Payout Policy. This page covers your obligations as a seller.
These Seller Terms & Conditions apply in addition to our general Terms of Service and govern how you list, sell, and fulfill orders as a seller on Joro Mart (jorobd.com). By opening a store, you agree to both.
On this page
1. Becoming a Seller
- You must have a registered Joro Mart account with a verified Bangladeshi phone number.
- To open a store, you'll provide your store name, business type, the categories you plan to sell in, your shipping origin address (Division, District, Thana/Area, and full address), and a bKash number for payouts.
- An existing buyer account can add selling ability at any time — you don't need a separate account to both buy and sell.
2. Store Types
- Personal Store: managed and accessed by a single account.
- Team Store: a shared storefront that multiple people can access using a common store password. If you run a Team Store, you're responsible for controlling who has that password — anyone with it can manage the store.
3. Membership Tiers
Basic
Free entry-level tier. New Basic stores may face a temporary listing hold after their first order, encouraging verification or an upgrade.
Pro
Improved placement, higher inventory limits, and a Pro trust badge shown to buyers.
Expert
Top ranking priority, an Expert badge, and the highest inventory limits available.
4. Listing Standards
- Product photos, titles, descriptions, prices, and stock counts must be accurate and up to date.
- Condition must be clearly and honestly stated — including whether an item is new or used, and relevant detail on a used item's condition.
- Items must belong to a category that genuinely matches what you're selling.
- Items on our Prohibited Items Policy may never be listed, under any category.
5. Order Fulfillment
- Once an order is placed and confirmed, you'll see it in your seller dashboard and should accept it promptly.
- After accepting, package the item securely and have it ready for courier pickup — Joro Mart's courier partners collect directly from your address, so you never need to visit a courier office yourself.
- If a buyer returns an item at the moment of delivery (their right under our Terms of Service), the product comes back to you; the buyer only covers the delivery charge.
- If a buyer refuses delivery later, for reasons unrelated to any error on your part, that is treated as a failed delivery and the associated courier cost is your responsibility. See our Return & Refund Policy for more detail.
6. Seller Conduct
As a seller, you agree not to:
- List counterfeit, prohibited, or misrepresented items
- Manipulate your own reviews or ratings, or ask buyers to do so
- Message buyers you don't have an established order with
- Accept payment for an order outside of Joro Mart's supported payment methods
- Attempt to route buyers off-platform to avoid marketplace protections
7. Enforcement
Joro Mart may edit or remove listings, adjust your wallet balance, lock or reset ratings on compromised listings, and issue a warning, suspension, or permanent ban — at our discretion — for violations of these Seller Terms, the general Terms of Service, or the Prohibited Items Policy. Reports filed against your store or listings are reviewed by our team before any action is taken.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Seller Terms as the platform evolves. Continuing to operate a store after an update means you accept the revised terms.
