To keep Joro Mart (jorobd.com) safe, legal, and trustworthy for everyone, certain items may never be listed on the platform, regardless of category. This policy applies to every seller, on every store type and membership tier.
1. Why We Restrict Certain Items
Joro Mart is built on trust, reliability, and safety for both buyers and sellers. Some items carry legal risk, safety risk, or simply have no place on a general marketplace. Listing any prohibited item is a violation of our Seller Terms & Conditions, regardless of the category it's placed under.
2. Prohibited Categories
Illegal Drugs & Controlled Substances
Narcotics, unregulated pharmaceuticals, and any substance restricted under Bangladeshi law.
Weapons & Explosives
Firearms, ammunition, explosives, and other weapons requiring special licensing.
Counterfeit & Replica Goods
Items that copy or infringe another brand's trademark, patent, or copyright.
Stolen or Unauthorized Goods
Any item obtained through theft, fraud, or without the legal right to resell it.
Hazardous Materials
Flammable, toxic, radioactive, or otherwise dangerous materials unsuitable for standard courier delivery.
Adult & Sexual Content
Sexually explicit material or products marketed in a way that is inappropriate for a general marketplace.
Wildlife & Protected Species
Animals, animal parts, or products made from endangered or protected wildlife.
Recalled or Unsafe Products
Products officially recalled or flagged as unsafe by relevant authorities.
Fake Currency & Financial Instruments
Counterfeit money, forged documents, or fraudulent financial instruments of any kind.
Personal Data & Documents
Other people's personal information, ID documents, or account credentials of any kind.
This list gives a clear picture of what's not allowed but isn't exhaustive — Joro Mart may remove any listing that violates the spirit of this policy, even if it isn't named explicitly above.
3. Reporting a Listing
If you come across a product or store that you believe violates this policy, you can report it directly: open the product or store page and choose Report. You'll be asked to select a reason — such as prohibited item, scam, or counterfeit — and can add details to help our team review it quickly.
4. Enforcement
Listings that violate this policy are removed on review. Depending on severity, Joro Mart may also adjust the seller's wallet balance, lock or reset ratings tied to the listing, and issue a warning, suspension, or permanent ban to the account responsible, as outlined in our Seller Terms & Conditions.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Prohibited Items Policy as needed to keep the marketplace safe and compliant with Bangladeshi law. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
